Not the same
I had the chance to see The Collingsworth Family again after watching them back in the late 90's. Sadly, they really aren't the same, I hate to admit it. The vocals, they clearly know, are not there. To compensate, most of the higher vocals sound low and more like "talking."
During the concert I attended, they ruined Mr. Jones. They were performing after Rob Thomas, and you never want to be overshadowed by the opening act, but they were. Thomas brought intense energy and spot-on vocals. The The Collingsworth Family show was a disappointment following the first act.
Although I have adored the group for decades, they are just not the same. However, considering their very unique style, perhaps it's simply challenging to maintain that distinct sound.
